Amsterdam
Amsterdam, the enchanting capital of the Netherlands, was a place I never knew I needed on my travel bucket list. It was the perfect getaway with its picturesque canals, historic architecture, vibrant culture, and I had the incredible opportunity to visit with my best friend. Join me as I recount the highlights of our adventure!
Stepping off the train, a sense of awe greeted us. Beautiful historical buildings lined the canals, and we couldn't wait to start exploring. After dropping our bags at our hotel, we headed to the Keukenhof. Keukenhof, also; known as the Garden of Europe, is one of the world's largest flower gardens. The gardens were absolutely stunning with rows of colorful tulips and windmills.
The next day we went to the Rijksmuseum, which was incredible, housing masterpieces by Dutch masters like Rembrandt and Vermeer. We delved into the life and works of Van Gogh at the Van Gogh Museum and finished our day of art with the Moca Museum, an extraordinary modern art museum in a historic house.
We also saw the Anne Frank House, which provided a poignant reminder of history's impact on individuals, and celebrated King's Day feeling like a local.
Amsterdam will hold a special place, and it was more memorable exploring with my best friend.
