Ireland

Travel

For me,

Ireland was always one of those bucket list places to cross off of my list. Full of rich history and green rolling hills; I couldn't wait to explore with my camera.

DUBLIN

A literary city, I felt immersed in the Irish greats you think of, James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, and W.B. Yeats. I loved learning more about them at the Museum of Literature in Dublin.

We stopped at Sheehan's pub for the best beef and Guinness pie and had a drink at the renowned Temple Bar.

My favorite and unexpected place that we visited was The Marsh Library. An 18th Century Library that housed some of the earliest printed books in the world.

Glendalough

After spending time in the city, we were ready to get out of the city and spend some time in the Irish countryside. We drove to the Wicklow Mountains National Park to see the Glendalough Valley. Glendalough, 'Valley of the Two Lakes' is the oldest monastic site in Ireland dating back to the 6th Century founded by St. Kevin. It was peaceful walking around the old sites and taking in the beautiful views.

Howth Cliffs

We spent the next day in Howth, a small fishing village north of Dublin. We had fresh fish and chips for lunch at Baily Bites at Kish before heading to the Howth Cliff Walk. It was such a beautiful stroll with amazing sights of the cliffs.

cliffs of moher

Our last and most eventful day in Ireland was making the three-and-a-half-hour journey from Dublin to Clare County.

We woke up early to get a head start and realized once we got to the Cliffs of Moher we had a flat tire. Thankfully, we were able to get a new tire situated quickly with the help of a local mechanic.

The Cliffs were unlike anything I had ever seen.

I couldn't believe I was walking along the edge of these incredible views. While the Howth Cliffs were stunning, something about the enormity of the Cliffs of Moher was something else and hard to put into words.

I hope to one day come back to Ireland and explore more cities and villages!
